Frequently asked questions
When and where are therapy sessions held?
Sessions are available on weekdays and Saturday mornings. Each session typically lasts for 50 minutes. The majority of people choose to come to sessions weekly but we can decide how often would be helpful for your needs. I offer sessions online, by telephone and face-to-face in Crediton, Devon. How much does each therapy session cost?
Each therapy session costs £100 (with concessionary rates available). Payment is required by bank transfer, in advance of each session. If you plan to use healthcare insurance to cover the sessions, please check with your insurer that they will cover the full fee or if you need to pay an excess. How do online sessions work?
Online sessions are similar to face-to-face sessions. They give you flexibility to attend therapy from your own private space at a prearranged time. I would use the same therapeutic approaches to help with any issues you may be experiencing and we would work together in the same way as face-to-face sessions. The platform used for online sessions is Zoom which is a secure platform offering privacy. Zoom is free for you to use and is easy to access. In advance of a therapy session, you will get an email from me with a link to access the Zoom session at the prearranged appointment time.Is my information confidential?
In accordance with the Data Protection Act, information about you is kept confidentially and securely. If you would like to know more about how I use, store and record any data about you, please ask me. An exception to this is if I am concerned for your safety, or the safety of someone else. In such circumstances I have both a professional and legal duty to share this information. I would hope however, to be able to talk with you about this before sharing any information. What happens if I cannot attend a session?
If you are unable to attend a prearranged session for any reason, please give as much notice as possible. If this is less than 48 hours’ notice, the full session fee will be charged. What can I do if I have a complaint?
If for any reason you are unhappy with the service I offer you, please talk to me about this so I can work with you to address any difficulties. In the event of any serious complaints, these can be raised with the Health and Care Professions Council.Contact me to make an appointment or if you have any questions.
