I am an integrative, relational Counselling Psychologist and trained in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Humanistic and Relational Psychotherapy, and Systemic Therapy. In my approach, I also draw on therapeutic models such as Compassion-focused Therapy, Transactional Analysis, Solution-focused Therapy and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy.

Experience
Throughout my professional training in Counselling Psychology and subsequently, I have worked in both NHS and community-based mental health services. Within these services I have worked therapeutically with clients experiencing a range of difficulties including physical health conditions, sight loss, domestic abuse, self-confidence, body image, childhood trauma, bereavement and loss.
I am a veteran and support the Armed Forces community.
I worked with children and families, as a qualified teacher for twenty years before completing my professional doctorate in Counselling Psychology. In my therapeutic work, I draw on my experience of working within education, especially supporting individuals with special educational needs and disabilities (e.g. ASD, ADHD, dyslexia).
I set up my private practice to help adults (16+) better understand any issues they may be experiencing and work together to find helpful ways to manage or overcome those issues.

I am a chartered member of the British Psychological Society (BPS) and registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
